Occupational therapy training typically includes:
Occupational therapy helps clients not only improve their basic motor functions and reasoning abilities, but also compensate for temporary or permanent loss of function. The goal of Occupational therapy is to help individuals have independent, productive, and fulfilling lives. While complete independence may not occur depending on the extent of the disability, Occupational Therapists will work with the individual to develop strategies, techniques, or adaptations so they can be as independent as possible. Doctor’s orders are required for this service. |
