The 17th Kansas Disability Caucus will be held in Topeka, KS on August 12-14, 2026. People with all types of disabilities, of all ages, representing every county of the State, are invited to attend. The purpose of the Kansas Disability Caucus is to provide opportunities for Kansans with disabilities to learn, share, and provide solutions to issues faced by the disability community.

This year’s Caucus theme is “Empowerment in Action- Shaping Our Future!” The Disability Caucus offers the opportunity for the Kansas disability community to come together and unite voices for change. This year’s theme takes this a step further by encouraging action and providing attendees the toolbox to make that change. At the Caucus, participants will get to express challenges AND potential solutions. They will also get the chance to attend sessions that will educate, empower, and ultimately provide the resources to help shape the future. What we do now affects the future. Let’s gather as a community to become empowered to take action! Let’s gain the tools to really make change and address barriers that get in the way of living independently. This will be a Caucus like you’ve never seen before as we address how to really put action behind words. It’s time to truly shape our future- attend the Caucus to find out how YOU can be part of the solution!

Join us on August 12-14 in Topeka as we come together as a community to advocate for change and empower each other as a united, powerful force in our state!
