No two behavioral therapy plans will be the same. When creating strategies for people with brain injuries, our behavioral therapy teams will work with individuals on a personal level to understand their specific challenges and what a successful outcome looks like to them. However, there are some similarities in our overall approach to an individual’s behavioral therapy process. Most people can expect all of the following:
A combination of therapeutic activities in a home setting
Collaboration with the individual, their family, and support network
Assistance with compensatory strategies, so individuals can return to their highest level of functioning
Opportunities to rehearse various coping mechanisms that are personally meaningful
