The goal of Minds Matter is to allow children the capability to live at home by creating a system where everything a child needs is in one place—where they only need a caregiver. Doing so is not only cost-effective, but has shown to lead to better long-term outcomes.
The state of Kansas will pay for 24-hour caregivers in accordance with state law. Family members can also be considered paid caregivers.
Minds Matter offers services to every county in the state of Kansas. However, due to staff availability, services in some counties may only be available via telehealth.
CBIS training is a self-paced, web-based training available year round.
Our training was developed and is provided by an Academy of Brain Injury Specialists recognized Certified Brain Injury Specialist Trainer. Trainees engage in a comprehensive process designed to prepare them for the certification examination. Our examination pass rate is 100% with an average score of over 90% accuracy.
