The University of Washington Traumatic Brain Injury Model System is one of 16 government funded Model System centers in the United States. Each center provides a multidisciplinary system of rehabilitation care, including emergency, acute, and post-acute services. The TBI Model System is the largest long-term study of people who have experienced TBI and seeks to understand how people recover from Brain Injury and what health issues continue to persist. We recruit participants who are receiving care on the Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit at Harborview or the University of Washington Medical Center.
