About Heather Eldridge
Heather Eldridge has been with Minds Matter LLC since graduating from KU Med Masters of Occupational Therapy program in May 2016. Heather decided to join Minds Matter after hearing Dr. Janet Williams talk on independent living models and brain injury waiver services during her final semester of school. Heather enjoys problem-solving and identifying creative methods to support brain injury survivors with achieving their goals. In Oct 2021, Heather transferred from staff OTR to Regional Rehab Director in the Lawrence KS region. In this role, Heather works closely with social service agencies in Douglas, Jefferson and Franklin counties to onboard referrals as well as coordinate therapies with established consumers. In Nov 2021, Heather received her CBIS designation. She has given presentations on stress management, budgeting tools and how to access housing programs for brain injury survivors. As RRD, Heather is also actively involved with Coordinated Entry in Douglas County that works to transition people from homeless to housed. Before joining Minds Matter, Heather had a variety of jobs in healthcare and wellness. This includes 3 years as a health and wellness project manager, 10 years in pharmaceutical sales, 5 years in pharmacy, 4 years in mental health and 10 years as a yoga instructor.
Heather loves her East Lawrence and KU Jayhawk community; she enjoys attending art walks and events downtown with her husband Brad. She is a proud mother to Dylan and Max. In her free time, Heather enjoys biking, crafting, decorating for the seasons and chatting on the front porch with friends.
